Composition of the Arbitrary

Using their own pulse as a score the performers circulate as in an abacus, attempting to configure the elusive. 

The work explores linguistic interventions such as counting as a means of consciousness and control within an arbitrary circumstance.

The work was conceived for The Well, an exhibition in memory of artist Jo Wood who died in 1998. With Polly Gould  Claudia Kappenberg  Uriel Orlow  Mark Osterfield  Judy Price  Kay Walsh  Jo Wood.
